The Team

To drive the transformation of the area forward, the Partnership has appointed a dedicated full-time 'Regeneration Team'. The role of the team is to co-ordinate the overall programme, help strengthen links with the local community, and ensure that individual projects are implemented effectively 'on the ground'.

Team Members

Sally McDonald

Sally leads the Castlefields Team and has worked for Halton Borough Council since 1988. She has a diverse regeneration and project and programme management background, having experience in Compulsory Purchase Orders, civil engineering and building construction.

Sally completed an MSc in Urban Renewal in 2006 and a Management Diploma with the Chartered Institute of Management in 2008, becoming a member in 2009. She is also member of the Institute of Economic Development. In 2009 Sally co-authored a paper - Urban Regeneration for Sustainable Communities: A Castlefields Case Study.

In addition to Castlefields, Sally is also responsible for the delivery of 3MG (a regional freight park facility in Widnes), and the continued enhancement of Halton's Town Centre's.

Justine Cuerden

Justine joined the team in July 2008 having worked for Halton Council since 1988. Justine's background is in Quantity Surveying and Project Management and she has considerable experience in the delivery of a variety of projects including housing, education, community and leisure facilities throughout the Borough. As a Halton resident Justine is committed to addressing the issues facing the Castlefields community and to driving through the successful regeneration of Castlefields.

Nathan Renison

Nathan has worked at Halton Borough Council since July 2004, and joined the Castlefields Team in June 2008 from the Planning and Policy Division. Nathan brings extensive spatial planning experience to the team, and is passionate about good quality design and creating places where people want to live now, and in the future. As a resident of Castlefields, Nathan is committed to ensuring the continued transformation of the area into a vibrant residential neighbourhood.

Between them Sally, Justine and Nathan have enough expertise, experience and enthusiasm to deliver the regeneration of Castlefields.
